Welcome to the Airlie Beach Cruise Ship Markets

When a cruise ship is in town, our famous market bursts to life, offering you the best local craft, art, food, and flavour of the Whitsundays. It is the perfect stop for a unique souvenir, a delicious snack, and a true Aussie welcome.

Cruise Ship Market Days

Our markets are held exclusively on the days a cruise ship (with over 1,000 passengers) is visiting Airlie Beach.

We open bright and early to welcome you as you disembark from the Port of Airlie, offering a unique shopping experience before you explore the rest of our beautiful town.

The Cruise Ship Markets usually trade from 8:30am to 1:00pm.

Saturday Markets

Every Saturday the Lions Club hold markets on the Airlie Beach foreshore with 80 stalls showcasing everything from plants, art and donuts to books, clothes and haircuts.

What you'll find

Read about our stallholders and browse their products before you’ve even stepped off the ship.

Visiting our market

We are the easiest and quickest shopping experience you'll find upon arrival!

The market is located a short (flat) walk from the Cruise Whitsundays terminal where Carnival tenders arrive, and steps from the bus stop where Royal Caribbean and Celebrity buses arrive.

Enjoy the market, then explore the town centre, which is just a few steps away.

As the market is uncovered and open to the elements, we recommend bringing a hat and water bottle so you can take your time browsing the stalls.
